Here you can find a simple and easy-to-use free online image map editor. It uses Javascript functionality. Please make sure Javascript is enabled in your browser. The folowing browsers are supported: Chrome, Opera, Firefox, Internet Explorer 11.

Just follow these steps to create an image map:

1. Load image file. You can select existing image file on your hard disk or just drag-and-drop an image onto image preview area. Our editor supports the following image formats: jpg, png, tif, bmp. Once the image is loaded, the map edit area is showed.

2.  Click on Toolbar to select an option you would like to use.

New -  reset the editing to start creating new image map;
Save - save current state; Load - load saved state;
Load from html - load map areas from existing HTML code; 
Rectangle - create rectagular map area;
Circle - create circular map area;
Polygon - create polygonal map area;
Edit - enable/disable map editing mode to modify the existing areas; 
HTML code - show HTML code for image map created;
Preview - enable/disable map preview mode to test the image map created;
Clear - delete all map areas created;
Help - show help information.  



F5 - reload the page and display the form for loading image again;
- save map params in localStorage Drawing Mode;
ENTER - stop polygon drawing (or click on first helper);
ESC - cancel drawing of a new area;
SHIFT - square drawing in case of a rectangle and right angle drawing in case of a polygon

Editing Mode

DELETE - remove a selected area;
ESC - cancel editing of a selected area;
SHIFT - edit and save proportions for rectangle;
i - edit attributes of a selected area (or dblclick on an area);
 - move a selected area up;
↓ - move a selected area down;
← - move a selected area to the left;
→ - move a selected area to the right
